# Fix ETIMEOUT errors

> Fix ETIMEOUT errors whilst using Lilith.

<Note>
  This is *not* a normal timeout error!

Follow these steps if you have an **ETIMEOUT** error in your Lilith console:

    Disable **IPv6** (Internet Protocol Version 6) on your computer.
    Lilith doesn’t tend to work well with it on some computers. If you need assistance doing this, look up how to do so online for your computer and OS.

  <Step>
    Restart your computer and relaunch Lilith.
  </Step>

  <Step title="If Step 2 didn't work">
    Install and run the [IPv4 launcher](https://github.com/lilithmod/launcher/releases/download/stable-3/lilith-launcher-windows-s3-ipv4.exe).
  </Step>

**You don’t have to install the IPv4 launcher if Lilith works the first time.**

Lilith should now be working normally. If it doesn’t work, please make a ticket in our Discord.
