# Running Lilith

> This guide will help you run Lilith for the first time.

## Before you start

Make sure that:

* You have a Microsoft account that owns Minecraft,
* You downloaded the launcher from our [website](https://lilith.rip/download).

## Start up Lilith

  <Step title={'Start Lilith'}>
    Open the Launcher and click the "Launch" button,
  </Step>

  <Step title={'Wait...'}>
    Wait for Lilith to finish downloading,
  </Step>

  <Step title={'Verify your hardware'}>
    Lilith will prompt you to verify your hardware,
  </Step>

  <Step title={'Login to your Discord account'}>
    Authorize Lilith to access your Discord account, and go back to the
    Launcher,
  </Step>

  <Step title={'Connect to Lilith'}>
    Launch Minecraft <control>1.8.9</control>{' '}
    <emphasis>(more supported versions may come with injection, no ETA)</emphasis>{' '}
    and connect to the IP
    <code>localhost</code>,
  </Step>

  <Step title={'Log in Minecraft'}>
    Login using your Microsoft credentials,
  </Step>

  <Step title={'Done!'}>
    You're done! Enjoy Lilith! You may need to tweak Lilith as you wish in
    the <a href="/features/">settings</a>.
